Berger and Carter are therefore open about their relationship. In a “Welt” interview in September 2024, the goalkeeper said: “It wasn’t a discussion for us, it just happened that way. I don’t have to tell everyone that we’re engaged. But when people see the ring, then I’ll say what’s going on.”
Almost two years ago, Berger and Carter were in a long-distance relationship. Berger left Chelsea FC in April 2024 for US club NJ/NY Gotham FC. But Carter followed her in the summer, so both are teammates again, as they were in London.
