MKE Ankaragücü President Faruk Koca criticized the referee’s decisions at the press conference held at the club’s Beştepe Facilities. President Koca stated that the Chairman of the Central Arbitration Board (MHK), Lale Orta, should explain his opinion on the referee decisions in the last Antalyaspor match, and said:
“Now we have to make such statements about the undisputed positions and the unanimous decision of the referees that the decisions of the referees are wrong. There is a last minute position in the last Antalyaspor match. There were 2 positions before that. I want to know the evaluation of MHK President Lale Orta lady about that position. “Is that position a penalty or not? In our opinion, that position is a penalty, the ball touches the hand. If they let me know what’s the right decision about this position, I will put the referee’s decisions in front of them for the whole season.”

Speaking about the referee Mete Kalkavan of the Ümraniyespor match they will face in the league this week, Koca said, “We were relegated with a penalty that was not given in the match he directed in the Kasımpaşa match 2 years ago. Our grievances are at the highest level in every match directed by Ankaragücü. I hope he will not show such a weakness in the match tomorrow, he will be more careful. Unfortunately, the referee pool is one of the biggest reasons why the football world has come to this state, with the exception of a few referees. The referee makes the decision, the MHK throws them. If the federation officials, the board of directors, the VQA, the board of representatives, club presidents, club managers don’t tidy up, football has no future. Today, most of the presidents he wants to leave the presidency. If there is no justice in a job, no club president can be motivated and one day he will leave. Management suffers from this job. Managers and club presidents pay the price of wrong decisions taken on the field. Club presidents who bear the burden of this job because football criteria are not fair are here. There is a side that stems from the decision. Our 12 points went directly with the alliance. Our 18 points went indirectly. Our expectation was 1.5 points today. We are far from that target at the moment. We are still experiencing pains about relegation. I think the team will stay comfortable in the league with potential. We also have a goal in the cup. There are 4 league games ahead of us on Thursday, there are cup games. We want to pass these places without any damage.
