The animal ambulance received a report in the afternoon, including two photos of the animals. After seeing the footage, the employees immediately jumped into action; they found the animals in a terrible condition on the dike.
“Disgraceful,” writes Animal Ambulance Noordoostpolder on Facebook. Presumably the animals were hit in the night from Sunday to Monday. One lamb did not survive, the other two were badly beaten.
Dirt Bike Racing
Several witnesses say the animals were probably hit by dirt bikes. This road would often be used for races. “This is about animal abuse,” says Dierenambulance Noordoostpolder. “We went to the police.” Officers will now patrol the area.
