Angela de Jong does not need the soap about Yolanthe Cabau. The Ad-Diva was in 2010 at her marriage to Wesley Sneijder and then had enough of her. “Huge fake mess.”

Nowadays, Angela de Jong is the notorious tiger shark of the AD, but she too started in the margin. On July 17, 2010 she had to report on the marriage of Yolanthe Cabau and Wesley Sneijder in Tuscany. And there she soon had her belly full of the pair, the columnist in the latest episode of the AD Media Podcast.

Wedding guest Angela

It was nice to experience, says Angela. “I really had my portion of Yolanthe and Wesley when I was at their wedding in Italy, one of the few things that I was as a reporter. We stood outside on a square with 42 degrees between the other Dutch people. It was really the nicest job I have ever done.”

“It was really a terrible spectacle there. That whole village was turned upside down and all those Dutch people from the wide area that were on vacation there, then came to that square where it was really 42 degrees. And so everyone in turn get bottles of water and pizza for each other. Yes, you had something, you stood there all afternoon in the sun.”

Environmentally entertained

It was really a whole circus, Angela remembers. “I had a great time there, because of course everything and everyone walked his mother. Sylvie Meis also walked enormously important and all kinds of other people.”

She continues: “And Evert Santegoeds and Wilma Nanninga felt more than the rest of the press, for they were allowed to be in the church, so they then walked so slowly past the press section of: Do you see us?”

Fake mess

What Angela was mainly about how made everything was. How fake Yolanthe and Wesley were. How thick it was on top. “Then I already saw that whole fake mess and I was really done with that.”

She doesn’t have to know anything about d’r anymore. “For that wedding I then immersed myself in the life and circle of friends of Yolanthe. What fascinating, but not really …”
