Angela de Jong thinks that Rob Kemps should seriously take into account declining viewing figures. She expects Ik Hou Van Holland to attract even fewer viewers tonight than last week.

The replacement of Rob Kemps at Ik Hou Van Holland has not been a success for the time being. The first episode of the SBS 6 show without Linda de Mol as a presenter was a major viewing failure last week. With only 606 thousand viewers, he recorded the lowest score in the 15-year history of the program.

‘Viewing figures are dropping!’

AD opinion diva Angela de Jong fears that Rob will have to take into account even lower viewing figures. “I think a lot of people have now looked at Rob Kemps because they wanted to see how he did as Linda, but I fear that with the second episode he will dive below that 600 thousand,” she says in the newspaper. AD Media podcast.

People have seen it by now, Angela thinks. “I’ve seen it now and also had to see that terrible Leo Alkemade at work all evening. It’s just not funny at all. Really awful and he does the exact same non-funny trick in too many programs of SBS 6 too.”

“It’s soulless!”

Her AD colleague Marcus den Blanken is also not impressed. “I don’t see the best presenter ever in Rob Kemps, but I do think you can’t compare it to Linda de Mol. It’s almost impossible to do it perfectly. He fills it in his own way. It takes a lot of getting used to for me, but I think he also has to earn a lot of money.”

Angela: “Let’s start with the positive. He has clearly learned from The Wheel, as he no longer yells. He remained very calm and was actually very neat, but that also made it all a bit soulless.”

‘This does not work’

This just doesn’t work, Angela thinks. “I understand it’s very difficult for him, but I really keep wondering why Rob Kemps has to be pushed into such a mold of a big show program. We have seen at The Wheel that he is not immediately very suitable for that.”

She continues: “He is a party singer, can get the masses along, but his real strength lies with a program like Chansons and I don’t understand why they don’t recognize that at SBS.”

Greatest talent

Han Peekel, a great TV presenter from the past, thinks Rob is a great talent. He says in the Weekend: “The greatest talent at the moment is Rob Kemps. In my opinion, he is the dream TV man for the coming decades. In my estimation, he has the skills to make what makes TV so beautiful.”

Well, not in the case of Ik Hou Van Holland, Angela thinks. She thinks that SBS 6 better pull the plug on that show completely. “Ik Love Van Holland has been on its last legs for three seasons. Let go!”
