Angela de Jong threw a verbal firecracker at Gordon on New Year’s Eve. When she is confronted with his much-discussed false performance, she is in earplugs: “Is it over yet?”
What a tragedy for Gordon: in all showbiz reviews of the past year, his much-discussed false performance is mentioned, and so was last night in RTL Boulevard. Immediately after the images of that performance we see Angela de Jong on screen wearing pink earplugs. “Is it over?” she asks very viciously. “Okay.” Then she takes out her earplugs.
“Don’t you dare!”
Albert Verlinde is also asked for an opinion, but because of his collisions with Gordon he hardly dares to say anything. “I don’t even dare to say anymore what I thought of Gordon’s musical comeback. It just didn’t work out.”
The best Gordon moment of the year was Aran Bade’s brutality during his collision with the singer, Angela thinks. “Didn’t you call me unstable?” he snapped at the showbiz reporter.
Angela: “’Isn’t that right?’, I think he replied. I thought that was a really brilliant question.”
Making coffee
Does Albert really not have any tricks up his sleeve for Gordon? Okay, one then: “Luckily he can make coffee better.”
A few hours later on New Year’s Eve, in Dear Viewers, Gordon appeared again. Edson da Graça looks doubtful when an excerpt from Goor’s soap is shown. “Yes, because then I think: shouldn’t you protect yourself? Because you know that only more shit is going to come out. He’s not super nuanced or anything.”
Protection
Edson had better not say that to Gordon himself, according to Luuk Ikink. “I don’t know if if you said, ‘Hey, Gordon, you need to be protected from yourself,’ that would have gone down well with him.”
Host Ruben Nicolai: “No, exactly!”
‘Take the money!’
Back to the New Year’s Eve special of RTL Boulevard. A few celebrities have been criticized in this. Albert Verlinde about Arjen Lubach: “Take the money and run!“
Angela de Jong about Linda de Mol: “Just accept that you are getting older. Point!”
And Rob Goossens about John de Bever: “I don’t think we are going to show the images anymore – no one can handle that – but that we saw John de Bever’s fungal nails in Shownieuws… I think I will still know that in a year and I still wake up screaming from it.”
