Angela de Jong finds the way in which Johan Derksen continuously comments on Yvonne Coldeweijer very hypocritical. She speaks of a ‘Pavlovian reaction’. “Stop it, we all do it!”
It is one of Johan Derksen’s pet peeves: the Today Inside mustache cannot repeat often enough that he finds Yvonne Coldeweijer’s juice ‘pernicious’ and that he does not understand why John de Mol has joined forces with her. He is someone who destroys marriages, we keep hearing him say. What nonsense, says Angela de Jong.
Peace and quiet
Angela is annoyed by this accusation against Yvonne. “I know, you can’t say anything positive about her, she is the antichrist in person. Just throwing news into the world that our Dutch stars prefer to keep hidden is a shame,” she writes cynically in her AD column.
She continues: “We must of course continue to believe that the singer is a sweet, caring family man, while he is cheating on his life. Or that it is peace and quiet with that one jet set couple, until they have decided for themselves when their breakup is ‘content-worthy’.”
Bitten dog
Apparently the outside world is not allowed to see through these fake fairy tales, according to Angela. “Then she is the bitten dog. She is the one who destroys someone, while that person really does it himself.”
She continues: “This Pavlovian response is just as hypocritical as looking down on gossip. Stop it, we all do it, all day long. At home, at work, with friends, with strangers, everywhere.”
Johan critical
Angela does not mention Johan by name, but it is of course clear who she is referring to. According to Johan, Yvonne is very wrong and that is why he does not want her at the table at VI. “Coldeweijer belongs to the category: I hope that not one TV channel will ever work with her again to make juice. I allow her to do everything on TV, with every program,” he said this week.
Wilfred Genee then: “Also with us?”
Johan: “Well, no, I don’t think she fits here. What is the reason for putting her here? Because she has destroyed the marriages of our colleagues?”
“Don’t want to know her!”
Wilfred agrees with that. “No, that’s true, but I don’t actually know her at all.”
Johan: “No, but I don’t want to get to know her either, because she’s no good at all!”
Yvonne has won her lawsuit against John de Mol’s Talpa. The only disadvantage is that she is no longer allowed to post juice on her own channel until September 1, 2027. Johan: “That’s the only positive thing about it.”
