Professional Zapvrouw Angela de Jong said goodbye to her regular TV column in the AD last week. For years she kept the stars of Hilversum in a hold with her sharp opinions. But that time is over. No M & Ms
For Angela it means hanging a lot less bank. For her work she watched television daily, and not just in the evenings. Also during the day there had to be binged. The editors of Veronica Superguide Is curious: what does such a professional viewer actually eat during the morning broadcasts? Is Angela already on the couch with a bag of chips at 10:00 am?
Angela reacts fiercely and bites the interviewer: “What do you eat at 10 o’clock at 10 o’clock in the morning? I am not sagging with a bag of chips or M & Ms on the couch, I am just working! Of course I drink a cup of tea and I am looking for a cookie if I feel like it, but it doesn’t get more exciting.”
Talk shows
It is not that Angela completely stops watching TV. For example, she is addicted to talk shows. “Even on vacation I notice that I have a huge need to look at talk shows. That is the nicest way for me to take a summary of the day. BAR Leaves this year as a corvee, but I enjoy watching Eva, Renze and VI.”
What she will never look again? “What I am killed by, are the many programs that are not about anything: at the bottom of the line, every variant of I Hou van Holland, almost all panel shows of SBS 6.”
Confetticadeau
I love Holland isn’t it nice to watch with her family? No, says Angela. “You can read between the lines: we don’t find this program ourselves either, but we have to fill the broadcasting time and still had a can of Dutch people who always say” yes “, so we just made up something around it.”
