Angela de Jong understands very well that many people find Maxime Meiland incredibly annoying. She’s been getting a lot of shit all over her for years. “Because she just doesn’t come across as real,” says the AD diva.

Maxime Meiland is constantly bashed by everything and everyone. For example, Story boss Guido den Aantrekker recently said that he thinks she is fake, stupid and whiny. And AD supreme diva Angela de Jong is also not enthusiastic. “I understand very well that Maxime Meiland causes irritation, because she just doesn’t come across as genuine,” she says in AD’s Famous or Infamous.

Good luck

Without her famous parents, Maxime would never have achieved anything, Angela thinks. “I think it is someone who didn’t really know what she wanted to do with her life and grabbed the opportunity to become a reality star with both hands.”

She continues: “I think Maxime Meiland was very lucky with the fact that her father and mother became famous in Ik Vertrek and then got a docusoap on SBS 6.”

False Maxime

Angela thinks that Maxime is now imitating her father to appear nicer. “Whether she is really like her father or whether she has cleverly copied his behavior because she thinks it is fun for the cameras… I often think she comes across as inauthentic and not very sympathetic.”

Chateau Meiland is a success thanks to her parents, and not thanks to Maxime, according to the AD diva. “I think she also has to realize that if it had to come from her alone, it would not have been such a great success or perhaps not a success at all.”

Lucky guy

According to Angela, we should not think that there is more to Maxime. “I see her mainly as a very lucky person who happened to be able to benefit from the fame of her father and mother.”

“Sorry, I’m very sorry for Maxime Meiland, but I don’t see her as a talented media personality.”
