Andy Marcelissen wins Keiebijters Chat Tournament final and equals record

Andy Marcelissen won the Keiebijters Chat Tournament for the fifth time on Saturday evening. The tone talker from Raamsdonksveer equals the record of Eddy Buys, who won the prize for the fifth time in 1976. “Yessss!!!”, the Chief Chatter Major responds happily on Facebook, where he is extensively congratulated.

Since 1964, the Keiebijters Chat Tournament has been organized by the Helmond carnival association De Keiebijters. On Saturday, January 6, twelve top talkers started the latest edition of this popular chat tournament. After three preliminary rounds, the four best chatters competed against each other on Saturday evening in the final in a sold-out Hall De Traverse in Helmond: Hans Keeris, Twan van Oers, Andy Marcelissen and Dirk Kouwenberg.

Bram Fetamini
Marcelissen got a lot of laughs with his buddy ‘The Cyclist’. As Bram Fetamini, he took the audience into the world of cycling races and the inevitable doping. A joke about the long road to the top and how quickly it can go downhill again. “You must have used so much doping that you don’t even remember that you are on your bike!”

This is the fifth time for Marcelissen to receive the Silver Narrenhood. He previously won in 2010, 2015 and 2016 and 2023.

On Omroep Brabant-tv you can watch the third preliminary round on February 1 and watch the final on February 8. Or watch all episodes via the free Brabant+ app.
