Forced break for Andréas Hountondji: The striker is missing from FC St. Pauli due to an injury.

The FC St Pauli will play in the first game of the new year without his striker Andréas Hountondji. As the club announced on Friday, Hountondji suffered a hairline fracture to his left ankle in the last game of last year. This injury forces him to take a break. The duration of the outage is currently uncertain.

Hountondji, who is the Kiezkicker’s previous top scorer with four goals, suffered the injury during the goalless draw in Mainz. Coach Alexander Blessin will now have to do without the striker when the team meets RB Leipzig on January 10th.
