Italian student Andrea Bocelli has had to cancel two of his concerts. Bocelli, who is currently touring the United States, was supposed to perform on Wednesday in Boston and on Thursday in Philadelphia.
Bocelli’s Facebook page announces that the concerts have to be postponed due to health challenges.
However, fans are disappointed with how late the cancellations were announced. On Bocelli’s website, a video has been shared in which the singer Veronica-wife comes on stage to tell about the cancellation of the concert at the point when the show should have already started.
– Due to the instructions of the medical team, Bocelli is unable to perform today, Veronica’s spouse says in the video, making the audience boo.
– This has not been an easy decision. Andrea would never want to disappoint her fans. We will reschedule the concerts as soon as possible.

Veronica says in the video that Bocelli tried to make his performance possible until the last minute. The singer talked to the doctor just before his wife took the stage to deliver the bad news.

– This is a sad moment for me. Believe me, I did everything I could to sing today, but I can’t, Bocelli says to the audience present.

In Boston, Bocelli was scheduled to perform at the TC Garden, which holds nearly 20,000 spectators. Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center has an audience capacity of up to 21,000.
In the comments of the Facebook post, Bocelli is wished a speedy recovery. However, some regret that the cancellation was not announced earlier.
– We sat at the concert in Philadelphia for more than an hour before anyone said anything. The concert was supposed to start at eight, finally at nine they said that someone would come on stage in 10 minutes. I’m not disparaging illnesses, but I’m really disappointed that no one said anything sooner.
– The concert will be organized again later, but the hotel and travel expenses are a big loss.
Those who bought a ticket for Bocelli’s future concerts in the United States are also worried whether they too will have to arrive at the concert venue for nothing.
