André van Duin has wedding plans with his Fernando from Sint-Willebrord

André van Duin wants to tie the knot with his new love Fernando Reyes from Sint-Willebrord. RTL Boulevard reports this on Wednesday.

André and Fernando have been together for almost a year. “There is no proposal, no date and there is also no guest list. But there are plans. However, these are not yet concrete,” André’s management told RTL Boulevard.

The 61-year-old Fernando has always been a dancer, he performed in the TV programs ‘Op loose grooves’ and ‘Op full speed’.

Creator of the Bird Dance
Fernando was the dancer’s stage name, but he also started using that name in everyday life. He was born as Conny van Es and is known as the inventor of the Vogeltjesdans.

The folk comedian was previously married to Martin Elferink, who died in January 2020 from the effects of cancer. That got André thinking. “I don’t want to take any risks. Suppose something happens to me, then I want Fernando to be well cared for.”

‘The best gift he can give himself’
André emphasized earlier that Fernando is not the new Martin, but that he is completely happy that this can happen to him at this age. He spoke of ‘the most beautiful gift he can give himself and wants to enjoy it for as many years as possible as he has been given’.
