André Hazes Jr.’s frankness is starting to take on increasingly vulgar forms. Now he reveals in the Flemish media that he has interrupted the writers’ camp for his new album to satisfy his needs at home with his sweetheart Monique Westenberg. Why is this even relevant?

Seesawing with Mo

André makes his revelation during an interview about his latest album ‘On my body written’ with The last news. The newspaper quotes him as follows: “After day nine at the writing camp, my sexual needs became too great, so I drove back and forth to the love of my life: Monique.”

Literal. André says this because he says he sings about this in one of his new songs. In the accompanying video he says: “For me personally, ‘Anything is possible tonight’… That is a song that is really about her. I was at writing camp with the boys for two weeks and we are all young guys with needs.”

Day nine

And Monique has to comply with that. “On day nine we were looking at each other like: guys, should we go up for the day and go home? And that’s actually how the song about being with your wife for a while came about. Just that… I don’t have to explain to you what it’s about.”

He concludes: “I almost wanted to put the title ‘Monique’. We’ve actually been together for about nine years, we’ve had our ups and downs. But still when I see her, something comes up in me that no one has ever really brought out in me before. And that’s what it’s about, that someone can still be addictive after so many years.”

Why?

The big question is: why does André have the narcissistic need to share all these kinds of details? Private boss Evert Santegoeds in Show news: “It seems like André is always a bit more open-minded when he is further away from home than he is here. Then he goes all out and tells all kinds of things that make you think: why on earth would you tell them?”

Expert Frits Huffnagel reacts cynically after seeing the images: “Yes, well, interesting…”
