“The day before yesterday was the first day of the rest of my new life. The greatest gift I could give myself was this past year. Where I could work on myself,” says Hazes, who suffered from burnout and addictions last year. “I could take control of my life and try to fix what I had broken. To look for what I want, what makes me happy and what gives me the energy I was looking for.”
According to Hazes, the fire to work on his return has started to burn again after he received a number of songs a few weeks ago. “I heard songs that brought tears to my eyes with happiness. They told me what I felt.” Hazes then immediately called the writers to ask them to collaborate.
“For the past two days I’ve been cooped up in the studio with these two incredibly talented guys and despite the late hours and little sleep, I feel more energized and happier than ever. The fire burns again.”
