‘André and Rachel Hazes not on press day? Very weird!’

Tooske Ragas thinks it’s a travesty that André Hazes Jr. and his scandal mother Rachel Hazes hid yesterday during the press day of Holland Zingt Hazes. “I find that odd.”

The concert series Holland Zingt Hazes is about to start, but is not yet sold out. After all, people associate Hazes in 2023 mainly with hassle. With negativity. “It is also pretty much the same club every year that they ask and what they try to fill it with,” says show connoisseur Bart Ettekoven in Show news. “This year it didn’t work out.”

Hazes tired

Tooske Ragas, presenter of the program, notices that people are simply done with the Hazesjes. “If I may pick up on that: in my environment I notice that people are a bit…”

Bart: “Hazes-tired.”

Tooske: “Yes, that might be the word.”

Bart: “We have to conclude that there is a kind of veil around these actually very cheerful evenings due to all those lawsuits and moth that is in that family.”

Negative Veil

Hazes events are just not fun anymore, says Bart. “Of course we can all pretend it’s fun on such an evening, but one way or another… We all know that André and his mother have very bad contact. They’re going to have a confrontation there anyway. In fact, they already had that confrontation, only we were not there.”

When you think of Hazes, you no longer think of music these days, but of scandals. “There is a very negative sentiment, especially around Rachel Hazes. From all the polls you see about it, you can see that people very much side with Roxeanne. The moment you buy tickets for that concert, you know that the cash register is ringing again at Rachel.”

Andrew and Rachel

Holland Zingt Hazes held a press event yesterday. Bart: “Rachel was there, André was there, but they were not available to the press for comments or questions. This was the press day and then the two Hazes people are not available for the press.”

Ridiculous, says Tooske. “I find it strange that if you have a press day, then both Hazessen are not happy.”

Bart: “And the regular anchor of the evening, Jeroen van der Boom, was also unavailable. Of course, he also felt the mood and knew which way the questions would go.”

Ronald Molendijk: “That is exactly where the shoe pinches for me. That you call it Hazes and the Hazessen are not there. Just stand there! I’m not a fan of Rachel Hazes, but just stand there. But this, Jesus Christ, why?”

Rock cents

That criticism is shared by RTL Boulevard. Rob Goossens of that program says: “I actually find it very strange, because he is of course the big name of this event.”

Waylon has spoken quite spicy about the Hazes quarrel in front of the Boulevard camera. “I think André is turning in his grave. (…) How they solve that with each other, that is up to them, but I cannot imagine that this man has left this legacy and that it is treated in this way. I can’t believe that.”

The singer, who performs during Holland Zingt Hazes, concludes: “I think that’s a shame, I think that’s sad. It’s so pointless, dude. For a few cents, for a name. All of you have a good time.”
