For years it was questionable whether PVDA would pass the electoral threshold, but today no one asks that question anymore. In the Grand Poll, PVDA gets more than 10 percent, making it even larger than the prime minister’s party. “For years, the extreme right had a monopoly on the protest vote, but now we are winning the battle”, chairman Raoul Hedebouw is proud. How did the communists do that? And do they therefore also have a chance of ending up in the federal government?
