ANALYSIS: Fresenius and Krones instead of Rheinmetall and Bilfinger on Metzler’s list

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – Bankhaus Metzler has removed the shares in the armaments group and automotive supplier Rheinmetall and the papers in the industrial service provider Bilfinger (Bilfinger SE) from its “Top Ten” recommendation list for Germany. The medical group and hospital operator Fresenius (Fresenius SECo) and the bottling and packaging plant manufacturer KRONES would be included, analyst Hendrik König wrote in a study published on Tuesday.

Despite the Ukraine war, Krones is said to be exuding confidence this year. Both the incoming orders and the order backlog developed strongly and profitability increased further in the first quarter, also in view of the cost measures that were introduced.

Fresenius, meanwhile, is largely immune to most current risks resulting from the macroeconomic environment, König continued.
