In the 12th week of the EuroLeague, our representative Anadolu Efes hosted Barcelona on its field. The match played at Turkcell Basketball Development Center witnessed a great competition. Anadolu Efes won the match, which was breathtaking until the last moment, 74-73.
With this result, Anadolu Efes got its 2nd consecutive victory in the league and its 5th victory in total. Barcelona suffered its 5th defeat of the season.
The first period, which was neck and neck and both teams were effective in the painted area and under the basket, ended with Barcelona leading 19-18.
Barcelona, which scored with the trio of Laprovittola, Hernangomez and Cale against Anadolu Efes, which made simple ball losses in the second quarter and could not turn the appropriate shots into points, increased the difference to 13 points in the 19th minute: 33-46. Anadolu Efes made a great start to the second half of the match. In the fourth period, which witnessed great excitement and the lead changed hands many times, Barcelona took the lead 73-72 with 36 seconds left. Starting the last attack, Anadolu Efes was awarded a free throw due to a foul committed against Isaia Cordinier under the basket with 0.3 seconds left. The French player converted both shots into points: 74-73. Barcelona could not capitalize on the last attack and Anadolu Efes won the match 74-73.
