The NHL player without a contract rarely will go to the World Cup. 24-year-old Juuso Pärssinen chose otherwise.
Juuso Pärssinen played 11 matches for the rest of the season with 2+3 games. Aop
Juuso Pärssinen, who had been hockey in the New York Rangers for the rest of the season, joined the Lions World Cup on Monday. Finland will play this week in the Czech EHT tournament and the team will be released after that.
Pärssinen’s departure to the race is a bit special. The man’s NHL agreement ends this season. In a similar situation, players rarely want to go to the race – mainly because of constant insurance matters.
– My agent has handled it with the Ice Hockey Association. I don’t know the details of the matter any more, Pärssinen tells Iltalehti.
– Of course I had to talk to different people about going to the race. But in the end, it was not a difficult decision. I wanted to join.
After the World Cup gold
Juuso Pärssinen ventilates the goal at the Russian network at the 2021 World Cup in Edmonton. This spring, the TPS breeder will play in the first men’s World Cup. Aop
The World Cup will start on May 9 and will be played in Sweden and Denmark.
The lions are buzzing in the Stockholm block, which is played in the Avicii Arena, originally known as Globen.
In this arena, the Lions won the historic world championship 30 years ago, in 1995.
– Today, Finland always has a goal to win the entire tournament. So I think it’s now, “Pärä” thinks.
-Personally, I want to be able to play a good two-way game, to be strong with the reel and be an example on the team, the 24-year-old striker says.
No knowledge of the role
The TPS breeder goes to the first men’s World Cup. The man hasn’t talked to his role with head coach Antti Pennanen.
– I just came here on Monday. It has not yet been time to talk about my role or chains. There are a lot of good players here, and here’s probably different stuff, 196-centimeter Pärssinen thinks.
– But I do have a good buzz when the race is approaching.
Open -ended future
Pärssinen represented as many as three different NHL clubs last season.
The season began as a player in Nashville Predators until Turku was traded to the Colorado Avalanche.
From there, the journey continued at the transmission border to the legendary New York Rangers shirt. The man’s contract expires on the last day of June.
– There is nothing to say about contract matters yet. I liked to play in the Rangers, the goal is to get there to continue my career. But you never know about the NHL world, Pärssinen ponders.
