Singer and country music megastar Carrie Underwood, 41, had to perform without background music at President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

During the performance, technical problems occurred on stage. The difficulties forced Underwood to finish the song unaccompanied in front of a huge crowd.

Underwood faced former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Horrible Harris in front during the performance. Underwood sang America the Beautiful -song without background music.

After the performance, the singer shook hands with Biden and Harris. Biden told the singer “great job” during the handshake.

After that, Underwood also shook hands with Trump and the new Vice President JD Vance.

Carrie Underwood has emerged into the public eye in the early 2000s American Idol – from the singing competition.

Many fans have criticized Underwood’s appearance at Trump’s inauguration. The singer released a statement in which she addressed her controversial performance.

– I love our country and it is an honor that I have been asked to sing at the inauguration. It is an honor to be a part of this historic event, the singer says in his statement.

– I am humbled to answer the invitation at a time when we all have to blow together and look to the future.
