A 82 year old man has died and a 79-year-old woman has been rescued by a fire in a single-family home in Reus (Tarragona) this Friday night.

In a statement this Saturday, Bombers de la Generalitat have explained that they found the man in the dining room of the house with no signs of life and that they rescued the woman from the balcony of the first floor, and that did not require transfer to a hospital.

The fire has affected the dining room on the ground floor of the house, with two floors, located on Avenida de Mossen Ramon Muntanyola of Reus, as well as the continuous room and the rest of the house partially.

Firefighters received notice of the fire at 11:42 p.m. and at 12:35 a.m. it was considered extinct.

They moved to the place six Firefighters of the Generalitat, three units of the Servei d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) with psychological support, members of the Urban Guard and three Mossos d’Esquadra patrols, who have taken charge of the investigation and judicial proceedings.
