The team of trainer Jesse Mahieu defeated reigning champion Den Bosch. For Amsterdam it is the 22nd national title in club history and the fifth this century. Den Bosch is stuck at 23 national titles.
The shoot-outs at the Oosterplas hockey complex in Den Bosch were necessary after the match ended 2-2. The first final match in Amstelveen also ended 2-2 on Saturday.
After five shoot-outs per team, the score was still equal. In the subsequent sudden death, Frédérique Matla missed on behalf of Den Bosch, after which Felice Albers scored the decisive shoot-out for Amsterdam.
