Utah, 1857. While a war between the Federal Army and the Community of Mormons who had settled in the territory is about to break out, A woman and her baby start towards the west in search of her husband.

The journey proves to be full of dangers and pitfalls, in a wild world populated mainly by men and violence. During the peregrin, they get into Isaac, a mysterious and lonely character who ends up becoming attached to the two and joins them in the journey.

Although the one on the mother and the baby is the main focus, The series also widens the contextin particular to a group of Mormoni on the way to Salt Lake City.

American Primevalrecently released on Netflix with an excellent audience feedback, recovers the evergreen myth of the western and border updating it with the theme of travel as a path of redemption and training.

As already happened in other US series of the platform, religion – with details on the Mormon community – further fills and articulates the narrative. Inspired by a true storyis above all the story of an epic.

For lovers of the classic western in its contemporary derivations.
