Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will remain with the Green Bay Packers for another four years.

According to consistent media reports, the franchise agreed with the 38-year-old to continue his career with the four-time Super Bowl winner from Wisconsin.

The NFL picked up the reports and spread the news on social media.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the four-year, $200 million deal would make Rodgers the highest-paid player in football history. 153 million of them should therefore be guaranteed.

The Packers had said they wanted to keep Rodgers since the end of the season.

In February, Rodgers was named MVP for the fourth time. Two days before the Super Bowl, he received the prestigious award for the second time in a row.

In the NFL regular season, he had 37 touchdowns and 4,115 passing yards in just four interceptions. Nevertheless, he and his team were surprisingly eliminated in the playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers.
