Ambulances had to detour after XR blockade at six intersections: ‘Attempt to put us in a bad light’

Ambulances on their way to patients were forced to take a detour last Saturday due to the blockade of roads in The Hague by Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists, police say. Local politicians are angry and are demanding tougher measures. The activists themselves react in surprise. According to them, ambulances were simply allowed through. “They are trying to portray us in a bad light.”
