Wingene is proposing a multi-year plan for the first time after the merger with Ruiselede. The municipality now has three centres: Wingene, Zwevezele and Ruiselede. The board will invest 62 million euros over the next six years.
“Accessible services. A warm and caring range of support. Clean villages, well-maintained roads, lively centres. A vibrant leisure offer for young and old… All of that will be preserved and forms the foundation of the municipality today,” Mayor Lieven Huys emphasizes.
