This was reported by the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” on Wednesday. “It’s an honor for us that Mario Basler is volunteering with us as a coach,” said Türkgücü board member Caner Ciftci, who is now even hoping for up to a year and a half of commitment from the 53-year-old.
According to the report, Basler lost a game of squash to a member of the club. In this case, the former professional from Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich and 1. FC Kaiserslautern had previously agreed to train the promotion candidate of the district league C together with the previous coach. After the end of his playing career, Basler trained, among others, Jahn Regensburg, Eintracht Trier, Wacker Burghausen and Rot-Weiss Oberhausen.
