However, in the current year, the textile firm of which it is the majority shareholder has appreciated in the markets by more than 35%, which has allowed it to increase its assets significantly. Furthermore, he has managed to climb from twenty-first place in the world ranking to thirteenth (at the time of publication), increasingly closer to re-entering the top 10.

In this way, the businessmen complete the ‘top-10’ of Spanish fortunes. Daniel Maté, which is in sixth place with 2,900 million euros; Juan Abelló (2.9 billion euros) and the president of Mango, Isak Andic, which closes in tenth place with a fortune of 2.7 billion euros.

For his part, the president of Acciona, José Manuel Entrecanales, which last year ranked 42nd, does not appear this year in this ranking due to the penalty that Acciona has received from investors.

On the other hand, this year there are up to 33 women on the list of ‘The 100 richest Spaniards’ by Forbes, which represents a drop of 20% compared to last year, where it was close to reaching equality, with 59 them and 41 women.
