Frankfurt (dpa -AFX) – The personnel service provider Amadeus Fire surprisingly recorded a decline in sales in the past year. Against the background of customer retention in the areas of temporary work and recruitment, the proceeds fell by 1.2 percent to just under 437 million euros, the company said on Monday evening. Analysts, on the other hand, expected a slight increase.
The downturn and demand decline had arrived in the commercial and IT professional groups relevant to Amadeus Fire, it said. The companies acted noticeably reserved in the occupation of new or open positions and the willingness to change of the candidates should continue to be considered inhibited.
Since the expenses for the existing personnel service organization could only be limited and only adapted with a delay, this is disproportionate the operational result (EBITA), Amadeus said. In 2024, EBITA fell by 21 percent to 55.5 million euros and thus still below the lower end of the company’s target range of 57 million euros.
Investors reacted disappointed. Amadeus Fire’s share price fell on the trading platform Tradegate in a first reaction by 2 percent compared to the Xetra closing course./he/edh
