Alteveerstraat Hoogeveen gets large apartment complex

The Alteveerstraat in Hoogeveen is getting a new housing complex. 53 rental apartments will be built on the site of the former Nettorama supermarket.

According to the architectural firm MINT from Eelde, these are homes of between 40 and 70 square meters, spread over three floors. The apartments are mainly intended for starters and the elderly.

The building itself will have a roof terrace on the side of Alteveerstraat. In addition, there will be a courtyard with a number of parking spaces. Some of the residents can also use parking spaces on Schutsplein. There is no room for new stores.

A walk-in evening was held a few weeks ago, says developer Stichting ATV from Groningen. Local residents have been informed of the new construction. The owner cannot yet tell what the rents will be.

“The plans can still change,” said a spokesperson for the ATV Foundation. “Everything will become more concrete at a later stage and then we can publish more. We are also busy with permits, which takes time.”

The intention is for the complex, which covers approximately 1,300 square meters, to be completely demolished. The developer is not yet able to say when that will happen. “It’s too early for that now.”
