On the last day of the main group phase of the German Counter-Strike-Liga ESL Championship, Alternate Attax secured first place in the upper group. Just behind in second place is BIG Academy.
“2-0 against the Snogard Dragons in the ESL Championship and that puts us in the top 2,” tweeted BIG Academy player Tom “skyye” Hagedorn after the final game of the group stage. “The playoffs are coming up soon.”
The two teams have already qualified for the upper bracket final of the playoffs and will play against each other there. From the same group, Epic Dudes and Snogard Dragons enter the mid bracket of the playoffs.
In the Lower Group, Sissi State Punks and TeamKR eSport Club take the first two places and at least have a chance of reaching the final. They start in the lower bracket against the last two teams from the upper group, Reveal and Entropy Gaming. Onyx and Team Orange from the Lower Group dismount.
