A flash development took place in Altay, which is fighting to stay in the cluster in the Super League. Özgür Ekmekçioğlu, the head of the Izmir team, announced his resignation from his post.
Ekmekçioğlu gave the following statements in the statement published on the official website of the club:
As of today, I am resigning from my position as the chairman of Altay Sports Club, which I have held with great pride for six years.
Plans were made for the holding of our general assembly in April and for the regular continuation of all administrative-financial operations.
While I would like to thank the Great Altai community and its supporters for their support during my tenure, I offer my endless respects with the honor of fulfilling a very sacred duty.
