The case about the explosion will only be dealt with substantively at the earliest at the earliest next summer, the court announced on Thursday. Yet during this third preparatory session the room was again full, including with victims and relatives. For them, the disaster still dominates their lives nine months later. This was evident, among other things, from the plea of a lawyer who assists a family that the disaster barely survived: mother incapacitated for work, children for almost a year in trauma therapy, still no new home that has to replace the collapsed owner -occupied home.

Suspect

The four suspects were also present. Three of them are suspected of murder or manslaughter, arson with a fatal outcome and the preparation of a fire. Mourad BT (29), the only one of the four suspects who did not make a statement before, has now made that, the OM reported on Thursday. Against Ad His lawyer said that the suspect never knew that he was used for a revenge against B.’s ex-girlfriend would have been told that it was a “business conflict.” “The intention was never that the building would explode, and certainly not that people would die. Client regrets it,” said his lawyer.

Moshtag B., the 33-year-old client from the Brand on the bridal fashion store of his ex-girlfriend, would have wanted to take revenge on her because she would have cheated on. To this end, he contacted Mourad BT from Rotterdam to implement the plan. He in turn brought his nephew Illias B. (24) from Roosendaal. A fourth suspect, 33-year-old Anil A. from Oosterhout, was also involved in the plan. Initially they wanted to implement the plan on December 1. The building therefore collapsed like a house of cards.

The two of the houses would also catch fire above the store had not provided the two and had never been the intention, they said in an earlier pro forma session.

Suspected Anil A. is dissatisfied that he is still in pre -trial detention. For the third time in a row, his lawyer argued for suspension of the custody. A. would only have been ‘on inspection’ at the location, had looked around for a few minutes. When he heard that a fire would be started, A. would have warned that that would be a dangerous plan.

The court did not agree: there is sufficient evidence for A.’s involvement in the file, even though he was not in the crime scene in question, the judgment was. A., who went crazy against the judge and the press during the previous pro forma session in May, this time it held it with a brief disapproving comment. The other three suspects will also remain fixed for the time being.
