Johnny de Mol’s performance is really bad as a replacement for Hélène Hendriks. His viewing figures are in a true dive and there is, according to himself, also the necessary internal criticism.

Wilfred Genee has presented itself to the SBS 6 top to replace Hélène Hendriks for the first four weeks at the Oranjezomer. An incredibly generous offer, because he is actually free from today Inside, but needs law breaks and he is known for his high work ethic. Considerer John de Mol, however, has chosen son Johnny.

Does John regret?

Although Johnny has been doing the last four weeks anyway – and given the health situation of Hélène will probably take on all weeks – Wilfred’s proposal has been ignored. Will John already regret? Johnny’s viewing figures are to cry and sit down in a dive.

After 808, 771, 683 and 632 thousand viewers, last night there were only 551 thousand viewers ready for the Oranjezomer with Johnny as a presenter. That is good for a market share of 10.2 percent in the commercial target group. “That is quite below the level of the first series of Hélène from Breda,” says Tina Nijkamp.

Biggest differences

Tina points to her analysis canal On that competitor Renze Klamer has the same number of viewers, but much more in the interesting commercial target group. He notes no less than 21.9 percent market share, really very good.

The differences between Johnny and Hélène are huge, says Tina. “There is no Jack van Gelder (a pity), there are now many more sports topics and guests (way too much), more wokgasten (Viggo Waas), and above all: little to no media topics. No TV shows or Dutch celebrities that are discussed. That does both VI and Hélène.

Spicy days

How does Johnny look back on it? He says in Shownieuws: “My feeling is good for the first week. The leak is up. They were tough days, but I found my way. I was just waking up very early and then I was completely up and then a lot of information comes to you on such a day.”

“Then I had a kind of jet lag feeling at eight o’clock in the evening. Then from Wednesday I started with Padellen here in the afternoon. Then I have a bit of a lot of one on the edge and then I am better in the game.”

Internal criticism

What does Johnny think of criticism? “Look, you know that if you are going to do something on TV or do something in the media, that you are tipsy wild, but if you are going to venture into a talk show, then you have all the eyes focused on you. It is really just the Top League and that includes a top preparation and putting your teeth in it and that is what I do.”

There is even internal criticism of Johnny, he admits. “I have also received criticism from my editors, my editor, my director, but that is all constructive and that makes sense. I listen to that.”

Sharp pen

Show expert Bart Ettekoven thinks the criticism does more with Johnny than he says. “He says he didn’t read much of it. I always wonder: is that possible? I couldn’t. If you present such a show, you will see what people think of it and if Angela de Jong comes along with her sharp pen, then you want to read that.”

Finally: Johnny is in contact with Hélène. What does she think? “I found a very good tip to talk to the audience in advance, because if you get it a bit and you are kidding that you have the audience behind you.”
