Austria and Slovenia make the start. France and Norway will then take part in the second race. The German team intervenes against Italy in heat number three before Switzerland finishes off against Canada.

Eight nations were able to qualify for the team event and so the competition begins at 12 noon with the quarter-finals. In each team, two women and two men compete against their respective counterparts. If you win three rounds, you advance, in the event of a draw, the times of the winner decide.
