The second slalom for women ski racers in Zagreb, Croatia, scheduled for Thursday (05.01.23) has been canceled due to the weather. The reason is the high temperatures and strong wind, said the world association FIS. The slope on the Bärenberg had already suffered badly during the race on Wednesday (January 4th, 2023).
Shiffrin still has to wait
So it won’t be for Lena Dürr to take revenge for her race the day before when she was no longer able to qualify for the second race after a driving error.
And Mikaela Shiffrin, who won the first slalom in Zagreb, must continue to wait for her historic success – only one victory separates the exceptional athlete from her compatriot Lindsey Vonn, who retired in 2019 and who holds the all-time record for women.
