11:12

Laurie Taylor (GBR)

Laurie Taylor is able to keep the gap within limits, at least in the steep section at the beginning and has quite a bit of speed. However, the Brit continues to lose ground at the back and can only place himself just ahead of Kolega.

11:10

Samuel Kolega (CRO)

Samuel Kolega

Samuel Kolega was unable to repeat his form from last year this season and can no longer deliver a good finish today. The Croatian keeps looking for his outside ski and ultimately has over four seconds in his backpack.

11:09

Dominik Raschner (AUT)

Dominik Raschner

Now the visibility is getting worse and the conditions are becoming more and more difficult. Dominik Raschner can’t get into his rhythm at all and is ultimately visibly happy to have gotten through at all.

11:07

Oscar Andreas Sandvik (NOR)

Oscar Andreas Sandvik

For each individual goal, so much has to be invested in the direction that smooth travel is no longer possible. Oscar Andreas Sandvik really has problems with his unorthodox swings and has to settle for 18th place.

11:06

Albert Popov (BUL)

Albert Popov

Albert Popov can’t find his way up there at all and has to fight for every single goal. The Bulgarian then takes off at some point and checks in almost five seconds behind.

11:04

Daniel Yule (SUI)

Daniel Yule

Daniel Yule is always good for a top result, but the Swiss is also fighting a losing battle in the deep Norwegian snow. It’s only enough for the slowest time of the day so far.

11:03

Tommaso Sala (ITA)

Tommaso Sala

Tommaso Sala drives it incredibly cleanly from a technical point of view and remains agile throughout, but even with that there isn’t much that can be done here. At least the Italian stays under three seconds and can attack again in the second round.

11:02

Steven Amiez (FRA)

Steven Amiez

Staying under three seconds would be a brilliant achievement. But Steven Amiez makes too many small mistakes and has to settle for 15th place.

11:01

Alex Vinatzer (ITA)

Alex Vinatzer

The route is now really of no use anymore and all the athletes still starting are at a huge disadvantage. At the finish, Alex Vinatzer is visibly disillusioned about being three and a half seconds behind after an overall solid ride.

10:59

Armand Marchant (BEL)

Armand Marchant

First failure of the day! Armand Marchant cannot finish his run and is eliminated.

10:54

Linus Strasser (GER)

Linus Strasser

Now comes Linus Straßer! Can the German secure a good starting position for the second round? Straßer sets off bravely and gains a few tenths with a very narrow ski lead, but the heavily deteriorating slope is his downfall too. In the second part there is still a whole second and it is only enough for 13th place.

10:52

Victor Muffat-Jeandet (FRA)

Victor Muffat-Jeandet

After a very changeable season, Victor Muffat-Jeandet cannot pull out any trees today. The Frenchman fights through and does everything he can, but only sees twelfth place light up at the bottom.

10:50

Fabio Gstrein (AUT)

Fabio Gstrein

Fabio Gstrein does a little better than the previous drivers and drives quite freely despite the deep tracks. However, it is currently no longer possible to go below the two-second mark, even with an overall clean run.

10:49

Eirik Solberg (NOR)

Eirik Solberg

Eirik Solberg is not having a good day in front of his home crowd and lets one unclean swing follow the other. The piste is already giving the drivers a lot of trouble. Over three seconds are missing from the bottom forward.

10:47

Tanguy Nef (SUI)

Tanguy Nef

Tanguy Nef immediately struggles with the tracks that are already getting deeper, doesn’t pick up any rhythm at all and drives too close to the bars several times. The Swiss works harder towards the finish and is a whopping two seconds behind his leading teammate Meillard.

10:46

Michael Matt (AUT)

Michael Matt

Michael Matt initially does quite well at the top and has his sights set on the podium, but then he gradually loses his footing and gets hit one tenth after the other. He also clearly lacks the necessary power at the end of a long season.

10:44

Eduard Hallberg (FIN)

Edward Hallberg

Eduard Hallberg has barely been able to record any results recently and has no longer been able to bring the strong form of the first few months onto the slopes. Even today the young Finn has serious problems and can only leave Rassat behind. Apparently the tank is just empty.

10:43

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (BRA)

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen is of course going into the race full of self-confidence after winning the giant slalom ball yesterday. The 25-year-old goes all out, brings in a lot more energy than McGrath before and does well at first, but leaves a few tenths behind. Half a second ahead of McGrath, Braathen checks in in fifth place.

10:41

Atle Lie McGrath (NOR)

Atle Lie McGrath

Now comes the leader of the slalom ranking! Will Atle Lie McGrath push through its comfortable lead? Of course, the 25-year-old would like to end the season with his fourth win of the day, but he doesn’t get into it well at all and drives far too large a radius. Just don’t be eliminated – that’s the motto there. Over a second and a half are missing from the front and the door for the competition remains open!

10:38

Timon Haugan (NOR)

Timon Haugan

Timon Haugan also takes part in this slalom and does quite impressively. The Norwegian chooses a very narrow line and is rewarded with a solid time. Directly behind compatriot Kristoffersen it goes to the three.

10:36

Clément Noël (FRA)

Clement Noël

The next Frenchman does a little better, but also has one or two wobbles in the steep starting section. Clément Noël would also have to finish at the front and hope for mistakes from the competition in order to grab the ball. If you are more than a second behind the leader, this will hardly be possible.

10:34

Paco Rassat (FRA)

Paco Rassat

Paco Rassat makes a mistake right at the start and immediately has a second in his luggage. Of course, a top result is no longer possible for the Frenchman.

10:33

Loïc Meillard (SUI)

Loic Meillard

The Olympic champion is on the way! Loïc Meillard takes risks a step further and conquers the course set by his coach with an absolute dream run. The Swiss races into the valley with impressive ease and takes almost seven tenths off Kristoffersen!

10:31

Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR)

Off we go! Henrik Kristoffersen, in fourth place, is currently 99 points behind the top of the slalom rankings. The Norwegian would have to win and hope that the three in front of him score no points or fewer points. Kristoffersen gets off to a furious start and goes on the attack. The 31-year-old keeps the radius very tight, gets through well and sets the first time of the day in 58.59 seconds.

10:19

ÖSV without Feller

The only Austrian slalom victory this winter was achieved by Manuel Feller, who won in Kitzbühel. The 33-year-old has already ended his season early and cannot be there today. So hopes rest primarily on Michael Matt, who recently achieved his best result of the winter with fourth place in Kranjska Gora. Fabio Gstrein, Dominik Raschner and Marco Schwarz complete the ÖSV team.

10:15

Quartet from Switzerland

While the Alpine skiers from Switzerland clearly left their mark on all other classifications this winter, there was relatively little to gain for the Swiss in the slalom. Only Loïc Meillard shone with two podium places and his furious Olympic victory, but is only seventh in the discipline rankings. Tanguy Nef and Daniel Yule also qualified for this final via the ranking. Junior world champion Giuliano Fux is also eligible to compete and is making his World Cup debut today.

10:08

Straßer represents the DSV

Only Linus Straßer is starting for Germany in the last race of the season. The 33-year-old from Munich has been getting better and better recently, achieved his first podium of the winter in Schladming and recently came fifth in Kranjska Gora. Finally, Straßer wants to attack the podium again today.

10:03

Fight for the crystal ball

While the other three discipline rankings and the overall World Cup have already been decided, everything is still open in the slalom before the big finale. Norway’s Atle Lie McGrath, who has already won three times in the Stangenwald this winter and leads the rankings with 552 points, has the best chance of winning the small crystal ball. If the 25-year-old finishes at least third today, he will definitely have the ball. Behind them are the newly crowned giant slalom World Cup winner Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (Brazil, 511 points), France’s Clément Noël (475) and local hero Henrik Kristoffersen (453).

10:00
