09:58
Mina Fürst Holtmann (NOR)
Mina Fürst Holtmann pushes herself into the slope and finds her way quite carefully. The Norwegian doesn’t take any risks. The 30-year-old almost comes to a stop on the steep slope and is more than four seconds behind.
09:56
Hanna Aronsson Elfman (SWE)

Afterwards, Hanna Aronsson Elfman seems more active, but is not faster either. The Swede doesn’t put her skis in the direction of the fall enough. This even costs more than three seconds of lost time.
09:54
Marion Chevrier (FRA)

Then we look at the first French woman. Marion Chevrier winds her way through the forest of poles and appears to be waiting in her approach. That takes a lot of time. Your delay is approaching three seconds. This throws Chevrier back to the bottom of the rankings.
09:52
Katharina Troupe (AUT)

Katharina Troupe is in much better shape. The Carinthian driver drives much more briskly. And even though she makes mistakes, the 29-year-old is fast. Nine tenths are missing at the finish – fifth place!
09:50
Katharina Huber (AUT)

Then the first Austrian woman sets off. Katharina Huber constantly finds herself losing time, simply can’t get going and leaves well over two seconds behind. The Lower Austrian takes over the red lantern from Lena Dürr at the finish.
09:48
Mélanie Meillard (SUI)

Mélanie Meillard currently doesn’t have the self-confidence to do big things. The Swiss therefore exercise some caution. Maybe this is the right way. For them it’s also about the Olympic standard – once in the top 7 or twice in the top 15. Maybe something can happen today. Rank ninth at the moment!
09:47
Laurence St-Germain (CAN)

Laurence St-Germain doesn’t get far afterwards. The 2023 world champion gets a blow, misses the next goal and is eliminated.
09:46
Cornelia Öhlund (SWE)

The next Swede is already on her way. Cornelia Öhlund is constantly losing time. It takes almost a second and a half to get down to the bottom.
09:44
Sara Hector (SWE)

Sara Hector approaches it very briskly at first, but then caution takes over. At the bottom, the Swede slows down her run a little and almost threads in at the end. And arrives at the finish in seventh place.
09:42
Emma Aicher (GER)

Now Emma Aicher pushes herself into the slope. The second German really lets it rip and literally flies through the gates. This is a high-risk ride. The 22-year-old is on track for the best time until the last split. But then the mistake! Almost in one fell swoop, over a second is gone. Fifth place!
09:41
Anna Swenn-Larsson (SWE)

Anna Swenn-Larsson then pushes off at the top. Last year’s third doesn’t seem so fast, but it certainly does for a long time. But down on the steep slope her skis are sideways and the Swede loses a lot of time – far more than a second.
09:39
Lara Colturi (ALB)

Now Lara Colturi gets started. The Italian, who competes for Albania, takes her father’s shorts under her skis. But then it lifts it out when turning to the right and the position over the ski is not right. Colturi falls and is eliminated.
09:37
Camille Rast (SUI)

Then it’s yesterday’s winner’s turn. And Camille Rast is actually stronger in the slalom. And the 26-year-old proves that, driving at the same level as Shiffrin and actually taking a tenth off her at the finish
09:36
Paula Moltzan (USA)

Above, Paula Moltzan shows that it can actually be done even faster. But the trick is to do this in all sections of the route. The American doesn’t quite succeed. In the further course, eight tenths remain. Moltzan arrives at the finish in third place.
09:35
Wendy Holdener (SUI)

Wendy Holdener also comes across brilliantly and is initially on the same level as Shiffrin. As it turns a little more, it no longer seems quite as fluid. The Swiss lost almost seven tenths and came in second.
09:33
Mikaela Shiffrin (USA)

Then it’s Mikaela Shiffrin’s turn. And the four-time world champion shows where the hammer lies. This is a sparkling clean run, the American is quick on her feet, plays with the rhythm changes and sets an outstanding best time with a lead of more than two seconds.
09:32
Zrinka Ljutic (CRO)

Zrinka Ljutić doesn’t get very far afterwards. The Croatian takes it short and misses a goal. Last year’s winner climbs back up, continues and is eliminated for good shortly afterwards.
09:30
Lena Dürr (GER)

At this moment Lena Dürr opens the Kranjska Gora slalom. At the beginning the Upper Bavarian slipped a bit, then found her rhythm. In the lower part it doesn’t seem quite as smooth, it jiggles every now and then. Dürr comes through and sets the first time.
09:24
favorites
A few names have already been mentioned, but the top favorite is Mikaela Shiffrin (start number 3), who has won all five slaloms this winter so far. In Kranjska Gora, the 2014 Olympic champion was only able to win the slalom in 2018. We should also note last year’s winner Zrinka Ljutić (2), Lara Colturi (7) and Anna Swenn Larsson (8).
09:15
Nine confederates
Among the Swiss, Wendy Holdener – second twelve months ago – enjoys a good start number (4), but they are currently relying even more on the brilliant Camille Rast (6), who celebrated her first World Cup victory in yesterday’s giant slalom and has already been on the podium three times in the slalom this winter. Mélanie Meillard (13) hoped for a further improvement in performance and at least a place in the top 15 for the first time, which would mean half the Olympic standard. Eliane Christen (23) is at a similar level this season. This is followed by Aline Höpli (35), Nicole Good (38), Anuk Brändli (41), Aline Danoth (44) and Janine Mächler (49).
09:06
Eight Austrians
Katharina Liensberger is missing from the ÖSV. The Vorarlberg native suffered a serious knee injury in a training fall, has already undergone surgery and will be out for the rest of the season. Nevertheless, there are eight Austrians on the start list. In addition to Katharina Huber (start number 14), the in-form Katharina Troupe (15) in particular has a chance of the next strong result and is currently considered Austria’s greatest slalom hope. Katharina Gallhuber (20) is good for the top 15. Lisa Hörhager (25) and Natalie Falch (30) also want to go there. With the three other ÖSV drivers, we have to see what will still be possible due to their high starting numbers beyond the top 50.
08:57
German trio
75 athletes from 25 nations want to take on this task. Three of them belong to the German Ski Association. Lena Dürr has the honor of opening the competition with start number 1. The 34-year-old has already been on the podium this winter. Emma Aicher (start number 9) even managed this twice in the slalom. Third in the group is Jessica Hilzinger (39), who is aiming to reach the second round.
08:48
Daily task
The ski area is located on Vitranc, the city’s local mountain, and extends up to an altitude of 1,500 meters with 20 slopes and 13 lifts. Today’s competition takes place in the Podkoren district and on one of the slopes of the same name, Podkoren 3. From the start at 1,059 meters you have to climb 204 meters down into the valley. Alessandro Colturi’s course shows the way. The Italian in the service of Albania has scored a score of 65 goals.

Welcome
