A private island
With the slight, carefree desire to escape from everyday life, the AlphaTauri spring/summer collection 2023 takes us to a distant island. We long for time to ourselves, far away from all the pressure and uncertainties of the past few years. A small private island, away from stress and everyday worries, lies hidden from reality in a place where light, sun and sea make us feel relaxed and protected. And whether it’s a dream or an abstract utopia, this island can be found anywhere – the blue sky envelops us and bathes us in sunbeams, with a splash of vibrant summer colors and the transparency of crystal-clear water. It’s the perfect harmony. Birds are chirping in the cloudless sky and the small private island offers a sense of security and secluded silence – just made for you.
The seasonal starting point of this collection is the sunny color palette: Flamingo Pink, Skydiver Blue, Mango, Flint Beach (pebble beige) and AlphaTauri Navy come together to interpret summer freedom and communicate joy. A tropical print runs throughout the collection, highlighting natural details inspired by the shapes of coral. Special performance yarns and signature knits – made with 3D knitting technology – give the collection its organic touch, while the structured silhouettes and clean lines paint an ultra-modern image. Taurobran®, the breathable three-layer membrane, can be found in outerwear and also upgrades intermediate layers with innovative technology and ensures waterproof styles.
For women, natural knit and cashmere blends that play with textures are available in a special palette of light blue and white for the first delivery window (January). The knitwear collection includes a wide variety of categories – from structured cardigans and light sweaters made from a cashmere mix to dresses with mesh elements. For men, the well thought-out KOOV parka is just as much a must-have as other Taurobran® items, such as a summer jacket and sweater. They combine structure and softness and make the refined textures tangible.
The second delivery window in early February features key looks including a lightweight ripstop coat in the women’s collection paired with a dress in the season’s tropical print. The summery trouser suit in mango can be perfectly combined with a top made of new 3D knitting yarns to create an exciting silhouette. The men’s collection impresses with a combination of blazer and pants with functional details and technical materials. Together with an interlock sweater, the combination exudes pure relaxation. Another highlight is the summery, light, two-tone parka in the shades of mango and flint beach, which can be adjusted in length.
This season our 3D knit collection again includes new yarns, in addition to the core performance yarns – for example Cashmax (55% Cashmere, 45% Coolmax), PrimaLoft and a Tencel blend yarn. The styles are manufactured as a whole in a single, seamless piece and offer incredible comfort in addition to a perfect fit. The variety of yarns ensures an incomparable choice of material and feel; the color palette ranges from exquisite mango through black to a chalk tone. The combination with cashmere transforms luxurious materials into a sophisticated but relaxed silhouette.
AlphaTauri accessories are also the focus this season. The use of apple leather in the bags is particularly noteworthy. Apple leather is a vegan alternative to animal leather and is made from recycled substances in a saffiano structure. With strong, functional shapes, these bags and small accessories make stylish additions that are perfect for a little summer vacation. There are also totes, hats and scarves with tropical prints that perfectly complement the prints of the Apparel collection.
