In the American Basketball League (NBA), the results of the first fan voting to determine the players who will play in the 2024-2025 season All-Star game to be played on February 16 have been announced.
According to the news on the NBA’s website, Giannis Antetokounmpo was at the top of the Eastern Conference with 1 million 710 thousand 630 votes, and Nikola Jokic was at the top of the Western Conference with 1 million 422 thousand 121 votes.
National basketball player Alperen Şengün, who plays for Houston Rockets, ranked 6th with 314 thousand 223 votes among the 10 forwards competing for the top 5 of the Western Conference in the All-Star game.
Fans have 50 percent of the votes in determining the All-Star players, while NBA players and the media panel have 25 percent of the votes each.
Voting on the NBA’s website will continue until January 20. Fan voting updates will be shared on January 2, 9 and 16.
The All-Star game starters will be announced on Thursday, January 23, and the reserve players will be announced on Thursday, January 30.
