The two-time world champion has signed a multiple contract with Aston Martin. The Spaniard’s place at Alpine is presumably taken by top talent Oscar Piastri.

Aston Martin is owned by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll whose Lance son also has a seat on the team. “I’ve known them both for years, and it’s clear that they have the ambition and passion to be successful in Formula 1. I’ve seen them lately see how they bring the right people to the team, and that there is a beautiful new factory is being built in Silverstone. No one in Formula 1 is showing more vision and dedication right now. I would like to be part of that.”
