Almost spring: mild temperatures and lots of rain expected

Although it will remain fairly wet in the coming days, temperatures will also rise. Tomorrow, according to NH’s weatherman Jan Visser, ‘exceptionally high’ temperatures of up to 15 degrees are expected.

A lot of rain fell last night, caused by a warm front. Such a front also means that higher temperatures are coming again, says weatherman Jan Visser.

While temperatures were just below 10 degrees yesterday, they rose one degree during the night. This afternoon it will be a little warmer, when the temperature can rise to 12 degrees.

Imagine yourself in spring

This morning there was rain and drizzle, this afternoon and tonight the wet weather continues. The wind is blowing moderately from the southwest, quite strong to strong on the coast.

Tomorrow the day will also start with some light rain, but this will end during the day. The winter weather seems to be over – at least for the time being. According to Visser, it becomes ‘exceptionally soft’. The mild spring weather will start tonight, and it will not be colder than 11 degrees.

The wind will be moderate tomorrow and blow from the south. Tomorrow afternoon temperatures could rise to 14, 15 degrees. “That is exceptionally high,” says Visser. If the sun peeks through the clouds, “you really feel like you’re in spring,” says the weatherman.

No record

On Friday night the temperature will drop to 12 to 13 degrees, then the average will be around 14 degrees. Visser: “Then you are really at the top of what is possible in February.” Then it is not about the maximum temperature, but really about the average. “We have had temperatures of 18, 19 degrees in the past.”

It will be less mild at 10 to 11 degrees at the weekend. According to the weatherman, it will be rainy mainly on Sunday.

Next week it will remain changeable, although Visser also predicts some dry days. Temperatures remain above average, but at 9 to 10 degrees they will not be as extreme as tomorrow.
