Almost 30 million euros against drug smuggling via mainports

Dutch main ports must be made as unattractive as possible for international drug smuggling. Our major logistics hubs – the ports of Rotterdam, Zeeland, West Brabant and the North Sea Canal Area, Schiphol Airport and the flower auctions – must become major bottlenecks for drug criminals. Minister Yeşilgöz-Zegerius of Justice and Security is therefore investing 29 million euros on a structural basis in tackling organized drug crime at our main ports and logistics hubs. The minister is also committed to further international cooperation: within Europe, but also with source and transit countries in Latin America to nip drug smuggling in the bud.
