The lapse that the mayor of Madrid had on his Twitter account provoked ridicule from the users of this social network

Can anyone really believe that an entire mayor of Madrid thought that Carmina Burana Was she a singer that her city council had hired as the closure of the cultural cycle Los Veranos de la Villa 2022? Probably not. However, Twitter does not take prisoners and, many times, he punishes mistakes or lapses with ridicule.

José Luis Martínez-Almeida announced this past Sunday on his twitter account the concert that was going to be held in El Retiro park as follows: “Tonight at 9:30 p.m. we close the edition of Veranos de la Villa 2022 with the performance by Carmina Burana on the best possible stage…”

To then rectify, deleting the previous tweet, and leave the announcement as follows:

The rectification, however, was insufficient to avoid repeated responses on the same social network of those who did not miss the opportunity to have a laugh at the expense of the first mayor of the capital.

It is also true that other tweeters opted for more didactic responses to Almeida’s ruling:

As if this were not enough, a subsequent failure in the irrigation system of the Madrid park During the aforementioned performance -the sprinklers went off in a certain area, wetting the attending public- they ended up giving more prominence to the event for reasons other than its cultural quality. Once again, twitter was the preferred tool to spread the story.
