The Allianz MTV Stuttgart volleyball team missed their second title in two days.

In the CEV Cup final, coach Tore Aleksandersen’s team lost 3-1 (18:25, 21:25, 25:18, 24:26) in sets against Eczacibasi Istanbul. The Turkish record champions had already won the first leg 3-1 at home.

On Sunday, the Stuttgart women had won the DVV Cup against Dresdner SC.

The hostesses got into the game well and in the meantime led 9:5. But in the course of the first half, Istanbul got stronger. Led by Tijana Boskovic, the guest turned the game. Stuttgart was now increasingly under pressure.

And since the comeback in the second set remained uncrowned, the Baden-Württemberg women have to wait for the first international title in the club’s history.

But they showed morale and secured at least the third set.
