In the center of Beselare there is plenty of activity in the run -up to the witch procession of next Sunday. The streets are already decorated with witch scenes and dozens of volunteers put the finishing touches on the floats in a shed. A total of 32 cars will drive out, polished all the time by one and equipped with technical gadgets such as smoke machines.
“Those smoke machines are fully attached,” says the new director of the procession, Lieven Dejonckheere. “There are four separate smoke machines in each tower, and we all tested them yesterday.”
