All seven suspects who planned terror attack have been arrested
The terror suspects will now remain in detention until the next session of the council chamber, which will be held within five days. Most of them have Chechen nationality, three also have Belgian nationality.
The suspects had not yet set a clear target for their attack and were still discussing various scenarios, but were actively looking for weapons. They belong to a group that is staunch supporter of Islamic State. The group was arrested during three searches in Roeselare, three in Menen and further searches in Ostend, Wevelgem and Ghent.
