The Biathlon Junior World Championships will take place this year from February 28th to March 8th. The race takes place on the Arber in the Bavarian Forest, on the same route as the IBU Cup races.
Who can compete in the Biathlon Junior World Championships?
The starting field is divided into two age groups: juniors and youth. The 2005 and 2006 vintages are running in the junior races, and the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages are running in the youth races.
Who will compete for the German biathlon team?
The German junior squad includes Korbi Kübler, Karl Schütze, Lukas Tannheimer and Clemens Böhme. Leni Dietersberger, Sydney Wüstling, Melina Gaupp and Johanna Lehnung start in the juniors.
