“Stefan and Bully against someone Schnulli” is the name of the new RTL format, which starts on December 21st at prime time on free TV.
In contrast to Raab’s TV quiz “You won’t win a million here”, which had already recorded major losses in audience reach from the second week of broadcast, the new show does not rely on the 58-year-old alone. But on a showmaster duo.
The man at Raab’s side
Before Stefan Raab lost his way back into show business with his third boxing match against professional Regina Halmich, the hype on social media about the return of the musician and presenter had long since started. In several short videos, Raab kept his comeback secret. In one of these clips you could already see the man who is supposed to help him with the TV format now announced by RTL. There he played the plastic surgeon Dr. in a sketch. Lamborghini, who freed the artificially bloated Stefan Raab from his fat suit. We’re talking about Michael “Bully” Herbig.
That’s what it’s about
The cameo appearance was by no means the first time that Stefan Raab and Michael “Bully” Herbig worked together: the friends had already worked together on the production of the film “(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Period 1” (2004). On live TV, however: a novelty. RTL said about the role of the two hosts: “You compete against the candidate who manages to defeat three other competitors at the beginning of the show.” “Someone Schnulli” is probably a candidate from the general population with ambitions , defeat “Stefan and Bully” in various games. “Your opponents are craftsmen, doctors, students, teachers or lawyers – everyone has the chance to apply,” says RTL.
“Absolute dream team”
But the two final opponents don’t have to moderate. RTL hired Raab’s former intern Elton as game director. Sports presenter Frank Buschmann provides the live commentary. Inga Leschek, Chief Content Officer at RTL, said about the new constellation at the Munich Media Days in October: “We are proud that this absolute dream team is now working together at RTL and can hardly wait to delight our audience. “
Dates and broadcast times
It starts on Saturday, December 21st in prime time at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. The show can be seen streaming on RTL+. It is not known how often the new show will air after the premiere. However, several Stefan Raab evenings are planned on RTL for the first quarter of 2025.
